Job Purpose / Summary:
Supervise all daily electrical maintenance activities including, scheduling, executing, troubleshooting, problem
resolution to run the plant safely and efficiently without interruption, communicating job expectations, planning,
monitoring, appraising job contributions, recommending compensation actions adhering to policies and
procedures.
Also, supervise installation, maintenance, document, and repair a wide variety of Industrial Electrical Motors
and their control circuits in MCCs, Breakers and Switchgears, Transformers, HVAC Systems, UPS Systems,
Batteries Systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with NAMA policies and procedures and contribute to achieving target SHE rates as well as comply with quality procedures and NAMA ISO certified standards. Also, he is accountable for all his subordinates’ safety compliance. Participates in safety drills and walkthroughs.
- Supervise all daily electrical maintenance activities, starting with conducting group meetings, discuss safety issues, distribute activities, ensure activities execution, provides all required spares, communicate communicate with planning group and ensure proper update of equipment history files.
- Review the maintenance plan including man-hours, other disciplines, support, and ensure proper closing and data filling for work orders after completing the activity.
- Responsible to maintain documents related to key audits like ISO / OSHAS and any other statutory requirements.
- Response to operation and maintenance activities (normal or emergency cases), assess the risks, and ensure all tools and manpower required are provided for completing the work activities. Works and troubleshoots independently due to t: 211% diverse nature of the work.
- Ensure correct tools, instruments, and equipment are used for all the jobs and all are stored properly as per the relevant procedures and specifications.
- Ensure to Enhance employees’ knowledge by conducting on job/classroom training sessions, reviewing the training material as well as attending all scheduled training sessions. Also, ensure that subordinates are completing their training as per the plan. Effectively conducts regular appraisals with unit employees.
- Troubleshoot Motor failures, transformer failures, UPS failures, HVAC Failures, Batteries Failures.
- Makes Periodic review of critical and normal spare parts.
- Spares management for critical equipment.
- Plans for Shutdown activities (material, manpower, and services).
- Performs PM/ servicing for all types of electrical equipment.
- Prepares scope of work for new site jobs in coordination with operations.
- Creates PRs using SAP, technical review of vendor offers wherever applicable.
- Creates maintenance/job history.
- Creates repeat failures history and data.
- Plans and executes MOC jobs.
- PT meeting follow—up wherever applicable.
- Prepares monthly maintenance reports.
- Creates plant/equipment downtime history and takes suitable action to avoid downtime in the future.
Education:
- 3 Years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from reputed college/university.
- Vocational Training/Industrial training institute.
Experience:
- At least 10 years electrical maintenance experience in Petrochemical Industry
Job Skills / Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of Elecirical and Independent Trouble Shoofing Skills.
- Can sad a small team.
- Basic knowledge of UPS and Power Systems and Trouble Shooting.
- Computer knowledge to close work orders.
- Ability to create PR in the SAP system.
- Experience in lock/out-tag (LOTO) and process isolations safety requirements
- Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
- Experience in confined space, hot works, working on heights.
- Knowledgeable in hazards identification, environmental aspect, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of Electrical safe practices /PPE effects of current on the human body
