Job Purpose/Summary:
We are seeking a Technician, Millwright to perform daily maintenance activities and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant without interruption. The role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and documenting rotary and static equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, valves, and bagging machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Nama policies and safety procedures and contribute to achieving target EHS rates while complying with quality procedures and NAMA ISO certified standards.
  • Perform daily maintenance activities according to Standard Maintenance Procedures, ensuring high quality and reasonable completion time. Properly fill and record maintenance checklists and maintain proper housekeeping after activity completion.
  • Provide feedback to the supervisor on any findings or abnormalities during job performance.
  • Respond to operation and maintenance activities, including normal and emergency cases. Be available for on-call duty if assigned.
  • Attend on-the-job and classroom training sessions, as well as other scheduled training programs.
  • Install, maintain, and repair horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and screw pumps.
  • Install, maintain, and repair compressors of centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw types, as well as air blowers.
  • Perform alignment in rotating equipment and replace bearings in rotary equipment.
  • Install and repair mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps and agitators.
  • Service various types of valves, such as ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, and diaphragm valves. Repack gland packings.
  • Execute preventive maintenance in all types of rotary equipment, including pumps, compressors, and gearboxes.
  • Install, remove, and fabricate gaskets.
  • Execute shutdown maintenance in static equipment, including column cleaning, column tray inspection, and installation of trays.
  • Perform repair and maintenance of bagging machine equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair basic machine tools such as grinding, drilling, and tapping tools.
  • Learn and practice safety procedures, emergency response protocols, safety suggestions, and good housekeeping practices.


  • Diploma/associate in mechanical engineering from a reputed college/university.
  • Vocational Training/Industrial Training Institute.


  • 8 to 12 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the Petrochemical Industry.

Job Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems and independent troubleshooting skills.
  • Good troubleshooting knowledge of pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
  • Computer knowledge for work order management.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
  • Experience in confined space work, hot works, and working at heights.
  • Knowledgeable in hazards identification and incident reporting.
